Our duchess contains three perfectly paired origins to work in harmony together and create a rich, chocolaty character with a nutty character some red fruit sweetness and a low acidity.
The Brazil is sourced from a collective of farmers to bring out a constant and reliable high quality Natural Brasil coffee with a consistent character of rich chocolate body and red plum sweetness. It’s a total of 60% of the blend ensuring plenty of depth and rich taste.
The Guatemalan origin is a washed process sourced from producers in the Huhuetenango region making up 30% of the blend adding nutty macadamia notes and dark chocolate.
The Ethiopian is a washed process sourced from a singular producer Khalid Kemal with whom we’ve been working from the start. This component makes up 10% of the blend adding sweet caramel and plum notes without overpowering on acidity. Like a cherry on top!
For a blend the Duchess is pretty darn special! All the components are constant throughout the year harvest to harvest, to ensure consistency and longstanding commitment. This is not a ‘leftover blend’.
