Matcha Gold Japan 30g
Forget any matcha experience you've had in the past. This single origin Matcha Gold will bring you the most delicious tasting organic matcha available.
Lalani & Co Matcha Gold is grown on the organic Nakai family gardens in Japan. Single origin matcha is hard to find. Most matcha is blended from various gardens. Lalani & Co decided to make this matcha from a single varietal of tea called okumidori. The tea plants are covered for 21 days to increase the L-theanine amino acid in the leaf (responsible for matcha’s mood lift effect). Organic growing is also very important, so your matcha is free from pesticides.
This is a pure spring season matcha as the highest quality green tea in Japan grows in the spring. High quality matcha should be bright, vibrant, and rich in colour. The powder should be so finely milled that it wafts from the jar like smoke.
Lalani & Co Matcha Gold whisks into a thick froth with ease. The colour is particularly vibrant. On the palate, you can taste the flavour of the craft and varietal. The okumidori varietal creates a delicious floral, sweet, and smooth matcha, while the traditional stone milling gives density to the mouthfeel.

About Lalani & Co
Lalani & Co is highly recognized for featuring extraordinary single batch teas from small gardens in India, Japan, Nepal, Taiwan and Kenya. Batches range from 10-100kg, each one chosen with meticulous care and skill. Each one expressing the best flavour of their region. Each made with same artisan skill as with a family vineyard or a small whisky distillery. Some of their teas are sold fresh, some are aged in the UK to become vintage batches. We are proud to represent them in Belgium.
